The first 7 days are the most critical for your long-term success. Think of this as the “Onboarding Phase” for your reputation. If you rush now, you fail later. If you follow this guide, you’ll have an iron-clad deliverability rate that hits the inbox every time.
1. The “Safety First” Rule (Throttling)
To protect our infrastructure and your sender reputation, all new accounts start with Global Throttling.
2. Day 1-2: Infrastructure Setup
Don’t even think about a massive broadcast yet. Your first 48 hours should be dedicated to “housekeeping”:
- Verify Your Tracking Domain: Go to Settings and ensure your DNS check is green. This ensures that every click on your landing page is tracked through your own clean domain, not a shared one.
- Import a “Clean” List: Only import subscribers you have interacted with in the last 30-60 days. If you upload a “dead” list now, the bounces will kill your reputation before you even start.
- Set Up Your Global Blacklist: If you have known complainers or bounces from previous platforms, add them to the Global Blacklist immediately.
3. Day 3-5: Low-Volume Engagement
Start sending to your most active subscribers.
- Send a “Value” Email: Don’t sell hard yet. Send a short, text-based email with high engagement potential (ask a question, offer a free PDF, etc.).
- Monitor Your Stats: Check your Human-Readable Error Parser. If you see “Invalid Email” errors, stop and clean your list.
- Build Your First Bridge Page: Use the Onyx LP Builder to create a native landing page. By using a native Onyx link in your email, you are building trust with ISP filters.
4. Day 6-7: The Transition
As you approach the end of your first week, you can start increasing your volume slightly (the system will automatically begin to lift limits based on your engagement rates).
- Check Your Growth Box: Monitor your unsub rate. If it’s below 0.5%, you are doing great.
- Prepare Your Sequence: Start building your automated 7-day sequence so that new leads are handled on autopilot.
The “Circuit Breaker” Warning
Remember, SendOnyx is equipped with a Reputation Protection System. If your bounce rate exceeds 10% or your complaint rate spikes, the system will temporarily pause your campaigns.
Our Goal: To keep you in the inbox. Your Goal: To send high-quality content to people who actually want it.
