Before you send your first campaign, you need to ensure that all gears in the Sendonyx engine are turning together. A single missing verification can lead to high bounce rates or your emails being flagged as “Suspicious” by Gmail and Outlook.
The Final Checklist
To guarantee maximum deliverability, cross-check these four pillars in your dashboard:
- Domain Status: Is there a green “Verified” badge next to your root domain? (Check DKIM/SPF).
- Tracking Domain: Does your custom link start with
httpsand show as “Active”? - Sender Identity: Have you clicked the confirmation link in your inbox for your “From” email?
- Server Connection: Did your SMTP test email actually land in your inbox?
The “Acid Test”: Send a test campaign to a private Gmail and Outlook address. Look at the “Sender” details. If you see “via sendonyx.net” instead of just your domain, your DKIM/SPF might still be propagating.
Common Troubleshooting
If something still shows as “Pending” after 24 hours, check the following:
- Typos: Ensure there are no extra spaces at the beginning or end of your DNS values.
- DNS Conflict: Ensure you don’t have multiple SPF records (they must be merged into one).
- Proxy Issues: Double-check that Cloudflare is NOT proxying your verification records (Grey Cloud only).
Don’t Skip Verification: Sending without full verification will ruin your domain’s reputation. Once a domain is “blacklisted” by Gmail, it is extremely difficult and expensive to fix. Verify first, send second.
