Add and Verify Domain Name

Before you can start sending high-volume campaigns, you need to verify your domain ownership. This process involves adding specific DNS records (DKIM and SPF) to your domain provider. This ensures your emails land in the Inbox, not the Spam folder.

Step 1: Access the Domain Settings

  1. Log in to your Sendonyx dashboard.
  2. In the main sidebar, navigate to the Verify section.
  3. Select the Domain Name tab.
  4. Click the [+ Add Domain Name] button.
💡
Clean Entry: Always enter your domain without http://, https://, or www. Simply use the base format like example.com to ensure the verification scripts run correctly.

2. DNS Configuration (DKIM & SPF)

Once the domain is added, Sendonyx will generate unique DNS records. You must copy these and paste them into your DNS provider’s dashboard (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).

  • DKIM (Digital Signature): Usually a CNAME or TXT record. This proves the email was actually sent by you and wasn’t altered.
  • SPF (Sender Policy Framework): A TXT record that authorizes Sendonyx to send emails on your behalf.
⚠️
The Single SPF Rule: A domain can only have ONE SPF record. If you already use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, do not create a second TXT record. Instead, merge them by adding include:sendonyx.net to your existing record.

3. Final Verification & Propagation

After you have saved the records in your DNS settings, you need to trigger the manual check in our system.

  • The Action: Return to the Domain Name tab in Sendonyx and click the Verify button next to your domain.
  • The Result: If correctly set, the status will turn green. If it fails, double-check for typos or hidden spaces in your DNS entries.
🛠️
Cloudflare Users: If you use Cloudflare, ensure that the Proxy status is set to “DNS Only” (Grey Cloud) for these specific records. Sendonyx cannot verify your domain if it’s hidden behind Cloudflare’s orange-cloud proxy.
