Blacklisted Subscribers

The Blacklist under the Audience menu is your personal “No-Fly List.” It gives you the power to decide exactly who should never receive an email from your account, regardless of which list they are in.

While SendOnyx handles technical bounces, this list is where you manage your own audience quality and security.

ℹ️
Why You Need Your Own Blacklist In affiliate marketing, not every lead is a good lead. You might have competitors spying on your funnels, bots filling out your forms, or “serial complainers” who threaten your deliverability.

Your Personal Blacklist allows you to:

  1. Block Competitors: Keep your “secret sauce” away from people who are just there to copy your funnels.
  2. Prevent Spam Traps: If you identify a bot or a malicious email, you can kill it globally across your account with one click.
  3. Manage High-Risk Leads: Protect your sender reputation by manually removing anyone who shows signs of being a “spam reporter.”
⚠️
How it Works: The Global Filter The beauty of this list is that it is Global to your account. If you add bad-user@domain.com to your Blacklist, they can opt-in to 10 different lists, but Onyx will never send them an email. The system checks this list in real-time before every broadcast.

How to Use the Blacklist

  1. Manual Entry: Go to Audience > Blacklist and click “Add New.” You can add a single email or a specific domain that you want to block entirely.
  2. Bulk Upload: If you are moving from another platform, you can import your existing “Suppression List” directly into your Onyx Blacklist to ensure a clean start.
  3. Unsubscribe Sync: By default, anyone who unsubscribes from your emails is kept here so you don’t accidentally re-import them later and violate anti-spam rules.
Best Practices for Your Blacklist Domain Blocking: If you see junk traffic from a specific provider, block the whole domain (e.g., *@disposable-mail.com) to save credits. Also, periodically review the list if a customer claims they aren’t receiving your emails.

Summary Checklist:

  • [ ] Add known “bad actors” or competitors to the list.
  • [ ] Import your suppression lists from previous autoresponders.
  • [ ] Use the search function to manage individual blocks.

Your account, your rules. Use the Blacklist to keep your delivery focused only on people who want to buy.
