Add and Verify Email Address

Before you can hit “Send,” you must verify the specific email address you want to appear in your subscribers’ inboxes. Even if your domain is verified, each individual “From” email address must be confirmed to prevent unauthorized sending.

1. Adding Your Sender Identity

In Sendonyx, you can manage multiple sender identities (e.g., support@yourdomain.com and sales@yourdomain.com).

  • The Path: Go to your dashboard and navigate to Verify > Email Address.
  • The Action: Click the Add Email Address button. Enter the name you want people to see (e.g., “Marek from Sendonyx”) and the actual email address.

Personal Touch: Emails sent from a person (e.g., marek@yourdomain.com) consistently have higher open rates than generic addresses like no-reply@ or info@. Try to use a real name whenever possible.

2. The Confirmation Process

Once you click “Save,” our system will automatically send a verification link to that email address.

The Action: Click the verification link inside that email.

Check Your Inbox: Look for an email from Sendonyx with the subject “Confirm your sender identity.”

Missing Link? If you don’t see the confirmation email within 2 minutes, check your Spam or Junk folder. Some aggressive filters might catch the verification mail before your domain is fully trusted.

3. Activation Status

After clicking the link, return to your dashboard and refresh the page.

  • Status Check: Your email should now show a green Verified badge.
  • Next Step: You can now select this email from the “From Address” dropdown menu when creating your campaigns or sequences.
Pro Tip: Ensure that the domain of your email address matches the domain you verified in the “Domain Name” section. Sending from unverified domains will drastically hurt your deliverability.
